Wordpress, sometimes I hate you..

1:33pm on the 31st of July, 2008

I upgraded Wordpress (yes, again- those darn updates!) & ended up finding a nasty little bug that wasn’t allowing my individual post pages to show up (All that would show up is ‘Not Found’ for this theme or using the Kubrick ‘Error 404 Not Found’– disabling plugins did nothing as well). After cussing a bit, eating some lunch, then searching the WP forums I found that it was nothing I did (THANK GOODNESS) but a bug from version 2.6.

The “fix” ended up being quite simple, really. All I did was go to Settings  Permalinks then added the words “/category” & “/tag” to the values for the category and tag bases. Now the individual posts show on their own pages again. It’s like magic!

Now if only I could figure out how to get all my old Tag Warrior tags to mesh with the new system & I’ll be golden!

I revamped my sidebar links to reflect those blogs that I read often. Other links to blog & websites can still be found on the Links page. I also added a “Free patterns” section to the sidebar to make navigating the goodies much easier.
