I had sincerely hoped to get out holiday decor out & put up this weekend. That never happened *lol* . Since we so recently had our fifth wedding anniversary, K had other plans for us.
On Saturday, we took the kids to Mom & Dad’s & left them there (Yes, ALL of them!) so we could go out for dinner & see a movie. We ate at World of Wings where I had the best fried mushrooms I have ever tasted. I’m not so sure their sauce even competes with the Spicy Garlic sauce I love so much from Buffalo Wild Wings however!
As for the movie, we saw Beowulf & it was AWESOME. Being as I heard or read about the fantastic legend often since much of my ancestral heritage stems from the frozen locales of Norway, Denmark, & Sweden, I thought that the attention paid to small details was amazing. The movie Beowulf is truly a visual feast. K kept saying “Malkovitch, Malkovitch” every time he saw John Malkovitch’s character, which was kind of annoying, but for some reason at the time it made me giggle like a school girl. Just proves we need to get out on more dates, heh

I’ve been sorely lacking in gift-along updates. Most likely because I have so little left to make! I’ve also managed to get 90% of the gift shopping done, so I am quite pleased with myself. I’m going to spend today & tomorrow cleaning house so we can decorate on Wednesday. I’m looking forward to it. I’d like to do some baking as well since K stocked my “baking cabinet” last night but I can’t do anything while sitting here, so guess I better get a move on!
