Gobble, gobble

It was extremely warm yesterday, unseasonably so. There have been a few years that it has been very nice & mild this late into the year, yesterday was into the 80s! I took tons of photos early in the day when I was feeling okay (more on that later) so I’ll share some of my favorites.

I have a condition called hypoglycemia. I’ve had it, I believe, all my life. There have been times in the past when I’ve had a sugar spell or two, but yesterday I had one that seriously scared me a little. I skipped breakfast, which I will never do again, at least not while pregnant & nursing often. About mid-day I started to get light headed & I saw a floater in my vision. At first it looked like a flash bulb sear, but it grew larger (I recall saying to K it looked the “the ring”) until the edges of my vision on both sides were swirling & highly impaired. I started shaking badly & my legs felt wobbly, like they would no longer hold me upright. I put Dana down (I had been carrying him about, like usual) & sat outside. K brought me a bowl of cereal & soon after the shakes settled some & I could see again. I was a bit shaky yet & still wobbly for about two hours & had the most horrid headache known to mankind. I took two Tylenol & after a half hour nap, felt like a new woman! I had awesome timing too because when I woke, it was time to feast!
