Been busy soapin’
6:15pm on the 14th of November, 2007
I made seven duck in a pond soaps for the littles in our lives. The kids helped with these & let me tell you they smell AMAZING!
Counter clockwise- The two princess soaps smell like “Winter Wonderland,” the two to the left in the back were scented “Candy Cane” with peppermint essential oil, the two to the right are “Woodland Berries” which I think is my favorite today & the “cat-duck” is Wedding Cake scented. YUM! These soaps were made with vegan super clear melt & pour soap base & a bit of shea & silk base. I added sweet almond oil to all of these & evening primrose oil to the three in front, which are lighter scented for the girls’ sensitive skin. (Both girls these are intended for have red hair/pale skin like their mommas.
Below are some facial/hand soaps to go with some gifts for extended family. They were made with a vegan shea & silk base tinted palest mint green & I made a scent creation that smells just like after dinner mints! These soaps will match the cloths I’ll be crocheting in the next few weeks. These also have a tiny bit of cosmetic glitter for holiday sparkle & I added evening primrose oil to enrich it further.
Ella was engrossed.
I was lazy to go with melt & pour, but it’s good, vegan & I got a good price on it all, so between what I had, I made some kick ass gift soaps. Let me tell you how good my house smells right now.
Okay off to start dinner.. chicken tacos mmMMMMmm!!

Awww, those duck soaps are the cutest! Love em!
ahh gosh. the nausea this pregnancy has me obsessed with peppermint! I have been scrubbing up in the bath with my Burt’s Bees Peppermint soap, but I think I should really try and make some of my own!
