I’m completely & utterly HOOKED on making play food, it’s so fun! I just finished a crochet “sweets” set for E’s giftmas stash.

I made the cake to resemble the ice cream cakes our kids usually get on their birthdays. :)

Eclaire. It’s kind of a funny looking one, I ran out of the yarn I wanted to use for the main part. Oh well! I made the “frosting” section much larger than the pattern called for to get the look I wanted. I might even add a little “puff” of cream coming out one end.

Strawberry shortcake swiss roll. Next time I make one of these, I will make it much wider.

The little bon bons were the easiest to let creativity take hold, as you can see. This should match the tea set I am going to make E as well!

This set was made from the Sweets pattern by Amy Gaines on Etsy.

  1. Looks good enough to eat!

All look “decilious”, but I especially like how you put the last three (in the last pic) in order, little soldiers :)

  2. Looks really like food. The crochet is great. Your kids will like it!
