Hurdle Rib cuff

If you knit longies & shorts for your cloth diapered babes & find yourself growing tired of the same old cuff options- rolled, ribbed, ruffled, garter, et cetera. I am starting a series that will help you get over the monotony of the same old- same old by trying some new cuff styles.
This cuff is called the Hurdle Rib. I found this particular stitch in the book Knitting on the Edge by Nicky Epstein, then I modified it to work as a decorative cuff for pant or short legs. You could also use these cuff options on arm cuffs of sweaters or the edges of hats as well.
Cuff pattern:
Row 1- K
Row 2- P
Row 3- *K1, P1: repeat from * to end of row
Row 4- *P1, K1: repeat from * to end of row
Repeat rows 1-4 then bind off in K. This cuff measures a bit over an inch.
