Miss Impatient

The anticipation is about to drive me crazy. I ordered some undyed organic & humanely raised farm yarns as well as the acid dyes I should be getting it all any day now! I haven’t decided on which method I want to use- me & the kids handpainting the yarn, crockpot dyeing it or what. I also need to find a good place for drying the dyed yarns. We had an overhang over the back porch of the old house we lived in, so I strung a short line across it & it was the perfect drying place for yarn & woolens. Not sure what to do here at the new place! Maybe K will build me something cool out of all the scrap wood we have laying around here!
An idea I’ve had for holiday season longies is knitting them in undyed yarn, dip dyeing in blues then adding little snowflakes in duplicate stitching. How cute would that be?

I was wondering if you had to dye the yarn before you knitted with it, but your holiday longies idea answered my question, which btw sounds sooo adorable
