Food coloring
2 cups flour
1 cup salt
1 tsp alum*
1 tsp borax*
1 tbs canola oil
2 cups water
large glass bowl
wooden spoon
cutting board
frying pan
Ziplock storage bag or airtight container

Combine water & fifty drops of food coloring in the bowl Add flour, salt, alum, borax, & canola oil. Mix thoroughly. Cook & stir in the frying pan over medium heat for 3-5 minutes, or until it all holds together. Turn onto the cutting board & knead to a smooth consistency.
Store in airtight bag or container.

Usage instructions: Mold the same as you would Play-Doh. If dough gets hard, add one drop of water at a time to restore to pliable consistency.
To get dough out of carpets or fabric, allow to dry then loosen with a stiff brush & vacuum.

*For non-toxic version, substitute with cream of tartar.
