Creating fluid columns

I realize my Wordpress theme was broken last night & this morning. I was working on making the columns fluid instead of fixed so they would adjust to all resolutions & I had other things to do leaving it unfinished. Something I never do, perfectionist that I am
Anywho it’s fixed now & I guess I’ll take the time today to validate. I hate that part, LOL!
So what exactly did I fix? Well see my initial background image (or rather, faux column) was fixed & when viewers had a screen resolution over or under 1024×768, it was broken & misaligned. Can’t have that! I took out the background image & realized the sidebar cut off way before the footer, leaving it ugly & unbalanced. This frustrated me for awhile because I KNEW there was a way to get a background image to work by positioning it. What I did next was simple. I re-added my background image to the body of my css file then added background-positioning like so:
body {
background: #color of bg url(image/bg.png) 50% 50%;
}
That’s all it took to fix it! Easy, huh?
Well, guess I better get to work validating, I have new themes to create so I can get the theme changer up & working.

I'm pretty much a perfectionist with the look of my blog. I notice every little thing too.
